Political relations

Political relations between Serbia and Brunei Darussalam are insufficiently developed.

Brunei Darussalam recognised the UDIK on 25 April 2012.

There were no meetings at the highest level since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The last high-level meeting was conducted in 2011, when the MFA at the time V. Jeremić visited Brunei, and the MFA of Brunei at the time, Prince M. Bolkiah, lead the delegation of Brunei at the MS of the NAM in Belgrade in September 2011. Bilateral meetings were held on this occasion with the President of the Republic of Serbia at the time B. Tadić and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior I. Dačić.


Economic relations

Trade in goods between Serbia and Brunei Darussalam, from January through October 2021, amounted the value of 6,000 euros and that being the value of import from Brunei Darussalam. Trade in goods between Serbia and Brunei Darussalam during 2020 amounted to 2 thousand euros (1 thousand in exports), while trade in goods in 2019 amounted to 15 thousand euros (7 thousand in exports).
