Bilateral political consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Gabonese Republic
The Gabonese delegation was led by Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Yolande Nyonda.
The consultations confirmed good bilateral relations and commitment to the principles of international law, above all to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries.
It was emphasised that the year 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and that bilateral relations should be strengthened through meetings of high and highest officials of the two countries.
Ambassador Aleksić thanked the Gabonese Republic for its support to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, and highlighted Serbia’s commitment for further improvement of the friendly relations and cooperation. Defence, agriculture and sport were singled out as special areas of interest.
The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Gabonese Republic consisted of Permanent Representative of Gabon to the United Nations Ambassador Michel Biang, Gabonese Ambassador to the Republic of Türkiye Jean Bernard Avouma, Director General of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Guy Nkolo, and Director of European Affairs at the Gabonese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Georges Bekale.
