Đurić confers with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Frederick Stephenson, on the margins of the 55th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States.

Minister Đurić conveyed Serbia’s readiness to enhance overall relations and cooperation with this Caribbean country, emphasizing the importance of intensifying political dialogue and facilitating high- and top-level visits.

He further noted that Serbia is committed to fostering strong relations with the countries of the Caribbean and Latin America, including through regional organizations in which Serbia holds observer status.

The Serbian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the consistent position of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, underscoring that such a stance reflects the country's adherence to the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.

During today’s meeting in Antigua and Barbuda, special attention was given to bilateral economic cooperation.

Minister Đurić expressed satisfaction with the confirmation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' participation in the Specialized Expo 2027, stating it would be an honor to welcome the country’s delegation in Belgrade.

He also invited students from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to apply for the “World in Serbia” program, which, through the provision of scholarships for international students, serves as an important tool for strengthening bilateral cultural and educational ties.
