Đurić: Serbia and Hungary have an alliance for the future
Minister Đurić expressed his satisfaction with the high level of strategic cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, emphasizing that the partnership between the two countries is viewed as an alliance for the future.
According to the Serbian Foreign Minister, the bilateral relations between Serbia and Hungary are probably at the highest level in history, and there is significant potential for further deepening cooperation, both in economic terms and in political and security matters.
Both interlocutors expressed particular satisfaction with the way the Serbian community in Hungary and the Hungarian minority in Serbia are politically and otherwise treated. Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia is always ready to take additional steps to create the best possible conditions for the preservation of the cultural and national identity of Hungarians in Serbia.
The discussions also covered a range of international topics, with both parties noting that the friendly relations between Serbia and Hungary, in the context of new geopolitical circumstances, have gained a strong practical dimension, as citizens of both countries benefit from the increasingly fruitful bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Đurić assessed that Serbia and Hungary share a high level of agreement on many strategic issues, stressing that Serbia is ready to work with its Hungarian friends to find joint responses to some of the current and future challenges.
"Despite the challenges, I am confident that better times are ahead for Serbia and Hungary," said Minister Đurić, who also exchanged views with his counterpart on domestic political developments, positive experiences in diaspora cooperation, and the regional situation.
