Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago Amery Browne in Paraguay, while participating in the 54th regular session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, which is being held in Asuncion.

Pointing out the commitment to the further development of friendly relations with Trinidad and Tobago, Minister Djuric noted that the two countries’ relations were also based on years-long cooperation maintained during their membership of the Non-Aligned Movement together.

The head of Serbian diplomacy stated that Serbia was grateful for the consistent support of Trinidad and Tobago in preserving our sovereignty and territorial integrity, expressing his belief that such support would continue in the future.

As Djuric emphasized, Serbia attached great importance to the further promotion of relations with the region of Latin America and the Caribbean, with the aspiration to have the economic and bilateral ties with the countries of that part of the world match the traditionally high level of partnership and friendship.

Speaking about the perspectives of cooperation between the two countries, Djuric underlined the interest in strengthening economic relations, as well as exchanging visits of economic delegations aiming to enhance business ties.
