Minister Djuric and advisor to President Biden discuss energy cooperation
Minister Djuric pointed out that Serbia was a country that aimed to strengthen its energy independence, adding that intensive political dialogue, economic cooperation, as well as the closeness of our peoples were the strongest bridges connecting our countries on two distant continents.
The Minister pointed out that the strengthening of energy cooperation was one of the pillars towards the further enhancement of economic relations, especially considering the rising need for diversification of energy supply sources.
Additional investments in energy infrastructure, the Minister said, but also in faster and more efficient development of capacities based on renewable energy sources, are becoming one of the basic priorities of every country, especially amid the current circumstances of global energy crises.
The head of Serbian diplomacy noted that the number of U.S. companies in Serbia, especially in the field of services, was continuously growing and that the same was the case with the presence of the Serbian economy in the United States.
In this regard, Djuric emphasized the commitment of our country to develop and modernize its energy sector, as well as to cooperate with all relevant factors on the regional, European and international levels to that end.
