Minister Đurić Confers with Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Parliament, Zsolt Németh
Minister Đurić emphasized that cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, energy security and diversification of energy sources, infrastructure connectivity, digitalization, culture, as well as cooperation in other areas, is of exceptional importance for Serbia. He also underlined that the role and favorable position of national minorities in both countries significantly contribute to mutual understanding and cooperation at the highest possible level.
The Head of Serbian diplomacy expressed gratitude for Hungary’s consistent and strong support in Serbia’s European integration process, emphasizing that the European Union is not complete without Serbia and the Western Balkans region, and that Serbia is committed to becoming an equal and full member of the European Union in the most dignified manner.
Referring to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, Minister Đurić underlined that Belgrade is striving to fulfill its obligations, while expecting that international actors will influence the authorities in Priština to ensure that their representatives begin to act in the same manner. He also expressed appreciation for the significant understanding and support regarding certain positions related to Serbia’s southern autonomous province.
