Political relations
Modern bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and New Zealand have the potential for improvement in various areas.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremić visited New Zealand on 30-31 May 2012.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand Murray McCauley visited Serbia on 23-24 June 2014.
Economic relations
Currently, the economic cooperation between Serbia and New Zealand, takes place mostly through trade exchange, which in the period January-October 2021 amounted to 4,24 million euros, of which Serbian exports was 2,65 million euros, and imports from New Zealand was 1,59 million euros, according to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia,. In 2020 amounted to 5 million euros, with our exports amounting to 2.77 million euros and New Zealand exports amounting to 2.2 million euros .
Bilateral agreements
- Agreement (Exchange of Notes) on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations with New Zealand, signed on 29 December 1970;
- Trade Agreement between SFRY and New Zealand, signed on 27 February 1975 (The Official Gazette—Annex No. 18/1976).
