The Department of Public Diplomacy performs tasks related to:

Informing the domestic and international public about the foreign policy objectives of the Republic of Serbia and the activities of the Ministry;
Organizing and executing commemorations of important dates and anniversaries of the Republic of Serbia abroad;
Activities aimed at promoting Serbian culture, arts, language, science, and sports; organizing events related to fostering the culture of remembrance of the liberation wars and the suffering of the Serbian people abroad;
Programs nurturing the tradition of Serbian diplomacy;
Performing other tasks within the scope of the Department.
