Albania: Ambassador Vukčević meets the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development

Minister Krifca expressed satisfaction with the great progress made with Serbia in the field of agriculture, as well as the successful development of several forms of cooperation within the Open Balkans process.

Minister Krifca said that the two Ministries of agriculture achieved direct dynamic communication, and that the cooperation with Serbia was particularly successful. She singled out the meeting in Niš held at the end of last year, at which, according to her, great progress was made, which enabled the signing of important documents at the meeting in Tirana in December 2021.

The Minister pointed out that she expected continuation of cooperation with the new government of Serbia, since Serbia has invested a lot of efforts to achieve new freedoms of movement in the region. Minister Krifca pointed out the extreme importance of the possibility of greater export of agricultural products, for which conditions have now been created, and which was already recorded in the growth of trade.

Minister Krifca thanked Serbia for its decision to approve the export of the agreed quantities of wheat and corn to Albania, emphasising the special importance of corn for Albania.
