Baghdad: Ambassador Balov with Minister Hussein

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Baghdad, Uroš Balov, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Fuad Hussein.
On that occasion, the interlocutors stated that the excellent political relations between the two countries should be strengthened by improving economic cooperation, especially in the field of defense industry, as well as in the energy and oil sectors.
The ambassador thanked for Iraq's principled support for Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, while the head of Iraqi diplomacy reiterated that Iraq is firmly in the position of not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
The meeting was organized before the arrival of the Iraqi delegation, led by Minister Hussein, to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the First Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, which will be held on 11 and 12 October in Belgrade.
