The topics also discussed at the meeting were ways to improve economic cooperation and investments, as well as overall relations in the region and the security challenges facing the Middle East.

President Salih sent cordial greetings to the President of Serbia and agreed with the ambassador that it is extremely important to begin preparations for the realization of visits at the highest state level as soon as possible, bearing in mind that such a meeting has not taken place for decades.

The President of Iraq used the opportunity to congratulate Serbia on achieving strong economic growth, as well as the increasingly important and very active role of Serbia on the international political scene.
