Beijing: Ceremonial launching of direct flight from Belgrade to Beijing

The ceremony of official launching of direct flight from Beijing to Belgrade was held today in Beijing, organized by "Hainan Airlines" airline company.

The event was also attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Beijing Maja Stefanović and Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Serbia Chen Bo aside from Vice President of the Airline Chen Ming.

Satisfaction was expressed throughout all presentations with regards to the introduction of this important direct flight, which is expected to contribute to the expansion of social exchange, as well as to economic, tourist and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Vice President of the company Chen Ming extended his gratitude for the support in launching the flight provided by the embassies of Serbia in Beijing and the Republic of China in Belgrade.

It was jointly assessed that Belgrade would become one of the important aviation centres in the region following the launch of this flight.

Ambassadors Maja Stefanović and Chen Bo laid a special stress on the importance of this direct flight within the Belt and Road Initiative, in whose implementation Serbia plays a very active role.
