Bucharest: Ambassador Tomašević meets with Commissioner General for World Exhibitions Ferdinand Nagy
The interlocutors ascertained that Serbia and Romania, two neighbouring and traditionally friendly countries, had great potential for improving cooperation. In this regard, they agreed that the most important projects which should be launched in the coming period were the full use of the Danube River potential, both in trade and tourism, the construction of the Belgrade–Timișoara motorway, the construction of the Mokrin–Arad interconnector, and the further implementation of IPA cross-border projects on which a significant level of cooperation already existed.
They also discussed projects in the field of culture, sports, and international promotion as well as the candidacy of the Republic of Serbia for the host of the International Specialised Exhibition “EXPO 2027”.
