Doha: Chargé d'affaires Radeka for “Inside Qatar” about the World Cup
He expressed his gratitude to the authorities, citizens and residents of the State of Qatar for their efforts to prepare this event, as the first one in the history of the Arab world and the Middle East.
Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Qatar Slobodan Radeka said that the football stadiums were a masterpiece of architecture, connecting contemporary trends and the rich Arab tradition and culture.
He stressed that the expectations from the Serbian national football team are not modest, and that this was one of the most harmonious teams that Serbia ever had.
Chargé d'affaires Radeka stated that approximately 2,000 visitors from Serbia were expected and that the Embassy is preparing to provide them with all necessary consular protection.
He particularly highlighted that it was expected that the official opening ceremony of the World Cup will be attended by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, at an invitation of the Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and that it was another confirmation that both countries deeply appreciated the importance of the development of its bilateral relations.
