Frankfurt: Certificate award ceremony for attendance at supplementary classes in the Serbian language

In the General Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in Frankfurt, on Vidovdan, a ceremony was held to award the certificates of attending supplementary classes in the Serbian language in the German province of Hessen.

Consul General Branko Radovanović greeted the students and their parents and thanked the parents for enrolling their children in supplementary classes. An appropriate programme was performed and an exhibition of works of art about Vidovdan was set up, prepared by the students of supplementary classes with the support of their teachers Tatjana Milanović, Sonja Zrnić and Bojana Rakonjac.

Addressing the audience, the Consul General pointed out that the evening was filled with student, parent and teacher pride. “I am extremely honored that we had the opportunity to organise such an event. First of all, I would like to congratulate the parents who fulfilled their obligation in the education of their children by enrolling them in supplementary classes in the Serbian language and pointing to the language as sacred in preserving their identity,” said Radovanović.

Consul General Radovanović presented the certificates to the students together with the teachers, after which a cocktail party was held at the General Consulate in honor of the Primary School Graduation.
