Frankfurt: Concert of the Art Ensemble Stanislav Binički
The oldest military orchestra in Serbia gave a concert dedicated to Stanislav Binički.
Consul General Branko Radovanović greeted the guests and spoke about the sacrifice made by the Serbian army and people in the First World War for peace and freedom, and added that peace is needed in Europe today more than ever.
Ensemble members were greeted with a standing ovation by the audience, which included representatives of the province of Hessen and the city of Frankfurt and many members of the Serbian diaspora, after performing “Marš na Drinu”, “Ovo je Srbija” and “Oj Srbijo, mila mati”.
Prior to the concert, a memorial service was held at the Serbian-Russian military cemetery at the Central City Cemetery in Frankfurt. Members of the Ensemble “Stanislav Binički” and dozens of members of the Serbian diaspora from Frankfurt and surrounding areas were present, and Consul General Radovanović and Consul General of the Russian Federation in Frankfurt Ivan Khotulev laid wreaths on the Memorial Cross.
