Kuwait: Charge d'Affaires met with Assistant Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The charge d'affaires pointed out the rich history of understanding and friendship between Serbia and Kuwait and expressed readiness and desire to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of economics, investments, tourism and infrastructure.
Vidaković highlighted Al-Zaid's active contribution in initiating cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the two countries, since the meeting of their respective representatives took place on Al-Zaid's initiative in March this year. After a long period of stagnation, this meeting triggered the talks on continuing economic cooperation between the two countries.
The charge d'affaires briefly informed her interlocutor of economic potentials of Serbia, emphasizing that our country has created a favourable investment climate in the region and pointing to Serbia’s strategic position and/or special benefits in terms of trade. All of this makes us a suitable partner, she said, especially in the light of current developments in Europe, but not only in Europe and the European region but also beyond.
The charge d'affaires handed over to the interlocutor a list of food producers from Serbia.
Al-Zaid underlined Kuwait's interest in cooperating with Serbia to ensure a secure food chain. Observing that he stays informed of the economic development of Serbia, Al-Zaid said he was aware that Serbian food products, apart from being of exceptional quality, are at a far more favourable price than those from other European countries. This, he stated, focuses their attention on Serbia, especially in the light of current events in Ukraine and under the conditions of priority provision of alternative suppliers and food delivery routes to Kuwait.
The charge d'affaires handed over to Al-Zaid an invitation letter from the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Čadež.
