Ljubljana: End of year school play of the students of the Supplementary School in the Serbian language on the occasion of the end of the 2021/22 school year

In Ljubljana, in front of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, the end of year school play of the Supplementary School in the Serbian language was held on the occasion of the end of the 2021/22 school year.

The event was attended by parents and children attending the Supplementary School from several cities in Slovenia, representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Serbian associations.

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Slovenia Zorana Vlatković greeted the participants and guests of the event.

Additional teaching of Serbian language and culture in the primary school education of the Republic of Slovenia, organised by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Slovenia, was established in the 2021/22 school year on the initiative and with the efforts of  “Mihajlo Pupin” library, the Serbian Orthodox Church in Ljubljana, Koper, Maribor, Nova Gorica, as well as numerous Serbian associations.

In the 2021/22 school year 1154 students attended classes and 60 students completed the 8th grade.
