London: Ambassador Joksimović received the “Knight of Honour" award
Addressing the Forum organisers and participants, Ambassador Joksimović underlined that the award was a great honour and incentive for her to continue her engagement and diplomatic efforts to bring the two countries, Serbia and the United Kingdom, closer.
"It is a great pleasure when such efforts and engagement are recognised and encouraged by the relevant experts," said Ambassador Joksimović.
Taking into account that the role of the ambassador is to present his/her country in the best way, Ambassador Joksimović emphasised that this was a great honour for Serbia as well, whose fast economic growth and development, construction works, and stability were obviously an example for others.
"In its activities so far, the Republic of Serbia has shown the capacity for an effective action in the times of crisis, as well as solidarity with all those who need support," stated Ambassador Joksimović.
Ambassador Joksimović pointed out that it was important, in these times when global movements were recording tectonic shifts, to once again call upon the international actors to make peace and return to diplomacy.
In the explanation of the selection, the organisers underlined that there was an awareness today of the global need for leaders in diplomacy who could use their diplomatic skills, including negotiation, harmonisation through talks, and joint engagement in solving global problems.
The award is an attempt to recognise those diplomats who have used the available resources to improve intercultural, trade and tourism ties between the two countries.
Based on that, the organisers` research team conducted primary and secondary research of the sources on the Internet and social networks, based on which a jury composed of experts from various fields such as business, education, science, health, etc., decided to give the "Knight of Honour" award to Ambassador Joksimović.
