Meeting with the UNESCO representative in Qatar

26. Sep 2021.
First Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, Slobodan Radeka, talked with Dr. Anna Paolini, Director of the UNESCO Office in Doha, who is also the representative of that organization for the Arab countries of the Gulf and Yemen.

During the conversation, Radeka emphasized the importance of UNESCO for the Republic of Serbia.

He emphasized that our cultural and historical heritage in Kosovo and Metohija is under constant danger of extremist activities by Kosovo Albanians, and that it is unacceptable that they also try to appropriate it as their own. He also conveyed our arguments about the inadmissibility of the membership of the so-called "Kosovo" in this UN organization.

Anna Paolini said that she was familiar with the main positions of the Republic of Serbia and with the importance that UNESCO has for us.

She also shared her experiences on very good cooperation with Qatari state authorities. She spoke about the "UN House" project in Doha, which is to open in January next year and which will house representatives of all organizations from the UN system in Qatar.

Continued contacts and cooperation have been agreed on.
