Rabat: Exhibition „The Ways of the Roman Emperors“ open

The exhibition of the Archaeological Institute SANU and the Archaeological Park „Viminacium“ was opened in the Museum of History and Civilizations in Rabat today.
Visitors will be presented with 18 heads of Roman emperors born on Serbian soil, which represents one fifth of all Roman emperors and the largest number of Roman emperors born outside Italy.

Residents of Rabat and tourists will have the opportunity to see a model of the city of Viminacium, as well as replicas of vessels found at this site.
The expert team of the Archaeological Institute has prepared a special surprise for Moroccans and tourists visiting Rabat - a 3D model of the appearance of a Roman legionnaire born in North Africa whose remains were found in Viminacium.
In the presence of a large number of Moroccan media and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Rabat, the exhibition was opened by Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Morocco Ivan Bauer, President of the National Foundation of Museums of Morocco Mehdi Qotbi and Director of the Archaeological Institute SANU Snežana Golubović.
