Rodić visited the Institute of the Regions of Europe in Salzburg

On that occasion, Ambassador Rodić met with the former Prime Minister of the Province of Salzburg, Franz Schausberger, who is the current President of the Board of Directors of the Institute.

Schausberger emphasized the importance of the IRE, as a politically independent institution, especially for EU candidate countries, which receive support from this organization on their European path.

He also stressed the role of the IRE at the regional and local level, which is very important for preparing the accession of candidate countries to the EU.

The institute provides the necessary information for regions and cities, such as those regarding the preparation for the process of implementing EU law at the national level, through links with other EU cities and regions that have already gone through this process.
