Sofia: Ambassador Jović with the Bishop of Sofia

During the meeting, the details of the joint organization of marking the 700th anniversary of the repose of the Serbian St. King Milutin were specified, whose relics have been in the church of the Holy Sunday since they were transferred from Banjska (Trepca) to Sofia.

The interlocutors agreed that St. King Milutin should represent a bridge and a real fraternal bond and that he is able to help a deeper connection between the two Orthodox peoples.

The anniversary will be marked with a series of events, and the clothes in which the relics have been for the last year will be taken away and stored in the monastery of Gracanica, in Kosovo and Metohija, one of the endowments of the holy king.

After the liturgy on the occasion of the anniversary, the program will continue at the Serbian Embassy in Sofia.
