Tokyo: Ambassador Kovač at the Conference of Women's Governors and Mayors

The conference is intended to exchange experiences and promote opportunities for the empowerment of women in various areas of society.

On that occasion, Ambassador Kovač, as a participant in the session "Necessity of increasing women's participation in the decision-making process", introduced the participants to the results that Serbia has achieved in recent years when it comes to women's participation at the national and local decision-making and management levels.

In that context, Kovač pointed out national initiatives such as the "Network of Women Mayors and Municipal Presidents" and others, as well as the highly ranked position that Serbia has taken this year according to international criteria related to gender equality.

The Ambassador of Serbia also talked with the Governor of Tokyo, Yuriko Koike, with whom experiences and creative ideas about "women's entrepreneurship" were exchanged.
