Tokyo: Recording a show about Serbian cuisine at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia
Representative of the Embassy Tijana Nagato spoke briefly for the show about the 140th anniversary of friendly relations between Serbia and Japan and the cultural wealth of Serbia.
The well-known host of the morning program of Fuji TV Nagisa Watanabe visited the Embassy and viewed the works of art, exhibits of folk handicrafts, and copies of letters from King Milan I Obrenović and Emperor Meiji.
The host was given the opportunity to try on Serbian folk costumes and learn the basic steps of the Serbian circle dance (“kolo”). With the instructions of Tijana Nagato, Watanabe made Serbian cakes, tasted Serbian coffee, and answered questions in the quiz about Serbia.
In December 2021, four episodes about Serbian traditional paprika dishes had already been broadcast on the same channel, and after receiving a positive response, there was an invitation to record a series of episodes about Serbian desserts.
Fuji TV is one of the leading private TV stations in Japan, founded in 1957. It also broadcasts on the BS Fuji satellite channel, and has offices in London, Moscow, Paris, Berlin and Rome.
The first episode of the show will be broadcast on 8 April.
