Assistant Minister Željko Jović on an official visit to Hungary

The Acting Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ambassador Željko Jović, paid an official visit to Hungary from 17 to 19 June 2025.

During the visit, Ambassador Jović held meetings with senior officials from several Hungarian institutions, including the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Hungary for the Western Balkans, Mr. Zsolt Bunford, as well as the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Deputy State Secretary for Security Policy, Ms. Henrietta Balajti.

It was jointly noted that the current bilateral relations between Serbia and Hungary are at their highest level in recent history, as evidenced by the numerous and frequent high-level meetings between officials of the two countries. The discussions also focused on potential avenues for future cooperation in the field of foreign affairs, with the aim of further strengthening overall Serbian-Hungarian relations.

Assistant Minister Jović, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Hungary, Ms. Aleksandra Đurović, also visited the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Buda.
