First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dacic discusses deepening cooperation with the Italian Ambassador

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Italian Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia Luca Gori.

The collocutors expressed interest in further deepening overall cooperation and the strategic partnership between the two countries. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dacic emphasized that a fourth Joint Session of the two governments and a Serbia-Italy business forum scheduled for the near future, 21 March in Belgrade, would undoubtedly contribute to that end.

Ambassador Gori said that the Serbia-Italy business forum would focus on three sectors - the energy and green transition, agriculture and agrotechnology and infrastructure. He underlined that the three sectors were the main areas in which Italy wanted to invest and develop the partnership with Serbia through them.

He also mentioned another very important event that will be held in May, the Novi Sad Agricultural Fair, where Italy would be the partner country of the fair, and that many companies would come aiming to establish or develop economic relations with Serbia.

Serbian Foreign Minister Dacic expressed his gratitude to Italy for its continuous and strong support to Serbia's European path.

The collocutors exchanged views on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and agreed that continued dialogue was the only and the right way to reach a sustainable agreement.
