First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic

Today, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Dvořák.

In a cordial and open discussion, the bilateral relations between Serbia and the Czech Republic were mutually assessed as very good and readiness was expressed for their further strengthening in all areas of mutual interest.

Satisfaction that an intense and continuous political dialogue was taking place between the two countries was expressed, as was the belief that the upcoming visit of the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman to the Republic of Serbia, scheduled for the beginning of the next year, would make a special contribution to the further improvement of the cooperation between Serbia and the Czech Republic in all spheres.

During the discussion, opinions were exchanged on bilateral relations, integration of Serbia with the EU and the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.

Both sides expressed their willingness to continue cooperation on the common project of the Czech House in Belgrade. The belief was also held that the two countries would continue to cooperate successfully on the multilateral level, exchanging support in connection with the international candidacies.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić voiced hope that he would soon have the opportunity to meet again with his Czech counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský.
