Jović confers with the Chair of the Serbia–Mexico Parliamentary Friendship Group

During his working visit to Mexico, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Damjan Jović met with Asunción Romero, Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies.

The importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Mexico—as a significant component of the overall bilateral relations between the two countries—was reaffirmed. The interlocutors agreed that exchanges of visits between parliamentary delegations in the coming period could serve as a strong impetus to further reinforce partnership and cooperation.

They also reviewed overall bilateral relations, as well as specific areas where there is potential to enhance cooperation, such as renewable energy, information technologies, digitalization, education, and science. Both sides expressed a mutual interest in developing partnerships in these fields, particularly in the context of global challenges and the need to modernize their economies.
