Kozarev confers with the Ambassador of Venezuela

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, met today with the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Jaidys Julieta Briceño, to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

The interlocutors noted the traditionally friendly relations founded on respect and mutual understanding, as well as their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in areas of shared interest.

Secretary General Kozarev expressed gratitude for Venezuela’s solidarity and principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia. Ambassador Briceño emphasized that Venezuela regards Serbia as a friend and an important partner in the Balkans and in Europe, highlighting in particular the significance of President Vučić’s leadership for the region.

Ambassador Briceño informed her host about the ongoing legislative reforms aimed at improving the country’s socio-economic situation. She also underlined that Venezuela is preparing for the second preparatory meeting of participating countries for Expo 2027.

The Secretary General welcomed the importance of these reforms and expressed hope that they would yield positive results for the people of Venezuela. He also extended his appreciation for the dedicated preparations for Expo 2027, conveying his confidence that Venezuela’s participation represents an additional opportunity to further connect the two countries.
