Meeting of the Crisis Response Team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Held

A meeting of the Crisis Response Team was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in light of the escalation of hostilities in the Middle East.

The Crisis Response Team, led by State Secretary Damjan Jović and established by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, has been convening continuously with the aim of coordinating all competent services and ensuring a timely response to safeguard the security of Serbian nationals.

During the meeting, a detailed analysis of the current situation on the ground was conducted, including security risks, the functioning of air traffic, and available evacuation options. Operational plans and alternative routes for the potential relocation of Serbian citizens were reviewed, to be implemented as soon as security conditions permit.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains in constant communication with the diplomatic and consular network of the Republic of Serbia, the competent authorities of other states, and relevant international actors, in order to ensure the timely exchange of information and coordination of activities.

Particular emphasis was placed on direct communication with Serbian nationals in the affected areas. All Serbian citizens are urged, should they not have already done so, to contact the nearest diplomatic or consular mission, to regularly monitor official communication channels, and to act in accordance with security recommendations.

The Crisis Response Team will continue to meet regularly and coordinate activities with the objective of providing full support to citizens of the Republic of Serbia in the war-affected region.
