Minister Dacic meets with the Foreign Minister of Brunei Darussalam on the margins of the 43rd ASEAN Summit

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, on the margins of the 43rd Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Jakarta.

The two ministers discussed the intensification of political dialogue between Serbia and Brunei, along with the realization of visits at the high and top levels, with the aim of strengthening the quality, mutually beneficial cooperation between our two countries at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy expressed his gratitude to Minister Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof for the support lent by Brunei Darussalam to Serbia’s years-long efforts to accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), and an interest in further strengthening cooperation within that framework.

The interlocutors expressed interest in encouraging and developing economic cooperation, including boosting the volume of trade in goods, as well as developing cooperation in other areas of mutual interest (agriculture, education, sports, police, IT).
