Minister Dacic meets with the Foreign Minister of Indonesia on the margins of the 43rd ASEAN Summit
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities for the further intensification of political dialogue, including visits at the high and top levels, aiming to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral frameworks.
The two foreign ministers agreed that there was significant potential for development of cooperation in a number of areas, and expressed interest in further development and encouragement of economic cooperation while strengthening the volume of trade exchange, investment, and cooperation in agriculture as well as in the fields of tourism and ICT.
Serbian Foreign Minister Dacic expressed his gratitude to Indonesia for the support and assistance it provided to us during the decision-making process within ASEAN regarding Serbia's request to join the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, he reiterated his gratitude for the support lent by Indonesia in preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Marsudi affirmed once again that Indonesia would not change its position concerning non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, regardless of constant pressures to change this decision.
