Minister Dačić received the ambassador of Pakistan on farewell visit

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, today received the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the Republic of Serbia, Shehryar Akbar Khan, on farewell visit.

In a cordial conversation, the head of Serbian diplomacy thanked the Pakistani ambassador for his engagement and personal commitment during his three-year mandate in Serbia and wished him success in his continuing career. He expressed belief that the good cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Belgrade will continue in the future, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and friendly ties between our two countries, based on the foundations of cooperation established within the Non-Aligned Movement, where our two states often presented common front regarding significant international issues.

The two colleagues agreed that there are potentials for further development of overall relations, based on the fundamental principles of the Non-Aligned Movement. It was also agreed that the next, jubilee year 2023, when we celebrate 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, represents an excellent opportunity for further intensification of contacts and cooperation between Serbia and Pakistan.
