Minister Dačić talks to ODIHR Director about cooperation

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met today with Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Matteo Mecacci.
Minister Dačić said that Serbia regarded ODIHR as one of the pillars of the OSCE and as an irreplaceable partner in the OSCE’s third (human) dimension and in the process of building a democratic society.
It was agreed that the cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the ODIHR to date had been as friends and partners, with mutual trust, with a view to improving the election process, strengthening democratic institutions and implementing reforms in the Republic of Serbia’s priority areas.
Minister Dačić emphasised that the Republic of Serbia was making efforts to improve its election process in accordance with the ODIHR recommendations. He also stated that he expected the cooperation with respect to other matters to continue as well.
