Minister Selaković in Gabon: Everyone is eager to cooperate with modern and developed Serbia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selaković met with the President of Gabon Ali Bongo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pacome Moubelet, Minister of Agriculture Biendi Magangda and Minister of Defense Michael Moussa in this Central African country today.

After the meetings in Gabon, Selaković said that he had discussed with his interlocutors the possibilities of deepening cooperation in various fields, such as agriculture, industry, modern technologies, health and defence. 

According to him, President Bongo expressed his desire to visit Serbia as soon as possible.
 
“Gabon is a Central African country in which the work carried out by the former Serbian and Yugoslav construction industry is visible everywhere, and Serbia is here perceived as a country with trusted and good reputation,” said Minister Selaković.
 
He noted that representatives of various departments wanted to come to Serbia, and in March we would host the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coming for political consultations, as well as representatives of the agency for the promotion of economic cooperation of Gabon.
 
“What leaves a good impression is the fact that everyone wants to cooperate with Serbia and that the reputation of Serbia, especially of President Vučić everywhere in the world, here in Africa and in other places I have visited, is something by which we are recognised and on which they congratulate us. Everyone wants to cooperate with a reliable, modern and developed Serbia, which is the fastest growing economy in Europe for the second year in a row,” pointed out Minister Selaković.  
 
During the visit, General Agreement on Cooperation between the Governments of Serbia and Gabon and Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture were signed.
 
After Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia will continue his official visit to the countries of Central Africa with a visit to Sao Tome and Principe and Cameroon.
