President Vučić received credentials from the ambassadors of Austria, Belgium, Kuwait, and Germany
In a conversation with Austrian Ambassador Christian Ebner, President Vučić expressed belief that constructive, successful, and comprehensive cooperation between Serbia and Austria, as well as the strengthening of close and friendly relations between the two countries will continue during his mandate.
Referring to the recent talks he had with Austrian Federal Chancellor, Karl Nehamer, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, President Vučić emphasised that intensive meetings contribute to the continuation of European integration and the preservation of stability in our region, and confirms the mutual intention to further strengthen trust and cooperation in areas of importance for both countries.
President Vučić stated that the economic cooperation between Serbia and Austria is very developed, adding that he expects it to grow in the coming period.
When handing over the credentials to President Vučić, Ambassador Ebner pointed out that Austria provides clear support to Serbia's European integration and the regional stability policy that Serbia consistently promotes.
The newly elected ambassador added that he will continue to work on improving cooperation for mutual benefit, especially in the field of economy, bearing in mind that Austria is the third largest foreign investor in Serbia and the fifth foreign trade partner in the exchange of services in Serbia.
In a conversation with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, Cathy Buggenhout, President Vučić expressed belief that Serbia and Belgium will continue cooperation with the aim to further improve relations between the two countries.
Wishing Ambassador Buggenhout a warm welcome and success in her duties, President Vučić also referred to the good bilateral relations, stressing that there are potentials for their further development, especially in the field of economy. The President expressed his satisfaction with the presence of Belgian companies on the market of the Republic of Serbia and invited Belgium businesses to invest in the organic production sector in Serbia.
President Vučić stressed that Serbia is determined to continue with the necessary reforms on its European path.
There were also discussions about regional cooperation and geopolitical topics. President Vučić once again pointed out that Serbia is committed to respecting the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty of each country, as one of the basic principles of international law laid out in the Charter of the United Nations.
In a conversation with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, Fayez Mujbel Suleiman Al-Mutairi, President Vučić said Serbia's interest in improving cooperation and intensifying political dialogue, through exchanges of high-level visits, which would further contribute to the development of economic relations.
President Vučić and Ambassador Al-Mutairi both expressed desire for an overall improvement of economic cooperation, with an emphasis on agriculture through joint investments, as well as in the fields of energy and tourism.
Ambassador Al-Mutairi recalled the long tradition of friendly relations between Serbia and Kuwait, both at political level and all other areas, noting that he is looking forward to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which Serbia and Kuwait will mark together next year.
President Vučić and the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Anke Konrad discussed the further development of bilateral relations and intensification of economic cooperation.
President Vučić pointed out that Germany is Serbia’s leading economic partner, which is why increasing German investments is Serbia’s key priority.
Ambassador Konrad said that Serbia is an important partner to Germany, and that Germany expects Serbia to impose sanctions on Russia.
According to President Vučić, regional cooperation and preserving regional stability are Serbia's foreign policy priorities.
Ambassador Konrad emphasised that Germany strongly supports Serbia's European path and regional stability policy.
