Radev thanks Vucic for efforts concerning the Bulgarian minority in Serbia
"This assures us that together we can realize common goals on both sides of the border and that we will make even more efforts that this is recognized, not only in our countries, but also in the European family", the Bulgarian President said in talks with Minister Selakovic.
He conveyed to the Minister Bulgaria's gratitude for the efforts made by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and for, as he said, following up on the commitments concerning the Bulgarian national minority that the Serbian President undertook on his visit to the Bulgarian President.
"I would also like to express my gratitude for resolving the spelling issue in registration of Bulgarian female names, financial assistance for the media and the development of the entire region. I hope that these efforts will help Serbia on its path to the European Union", Radev told the Serbian Foreign Minister at the beginning of the meeting.
Selakovic informed the Bulgarian President about the agreed strengthening of diplomatic relations between the two countries and everything that Serbia had done and planned to do in the border area.
He referred in particular to the issue of the Bulgarian national minority in eastern Serbia, noting that free customs zones were opened there, in Babusnica and Dimitrovgrad.
