Selaković spoke with the Ambassador of Qatar

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selaković met with Ambassador of Qatar Faris Roumi Al-Nuaimi today.

Noting that relations between the two countries were good and friendly, Minister Selaković emphasised that Serbia was committed to intensifying political dialogue and economic cooperation with Qatar.

Minister Selaković pointed out that visits at the highest and high level would be of great importance for the overall relations between the two countries. He extended an invitation to the Qatari Head of Diplomacy Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani to visit Serbia, recalling the open invitation to visit the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. 

Minister Selaković added that it would be very important to establish a regular annual political dialogue between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, including holding bilateral political consultations.

Minister Selaković conveyed Serbia`s readiness to improve the versatile cooperation with Qatar, particularly in areas such as agriculture, IT, culture, and defence.

He also informed Ambassador Al Nuaimi about the economic successes of Serbia and the favourable investment climate, emphasising Serbia`s intention to attract an increased number of Qatari investments.
