Serbian citizens throughout the world can become eCitizens and use eGovernment services from February
At the same time, the Cooperation Protocol between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment was signed by Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Suzana Bošković Prodanović and Acting Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment Milan Latinović.
With the signing of these Protocols, diplomatic missions and consulates of the Republic of Serbia throughout the world have become a registering body of the Office for IT and eGovernment. All Serbian citizens living in diaspora who own a valid biometric identity document (identity card or passport) may become eCitizens in diplomatic missions and consulates.
Just one trip to the nearest diplomatic mission or consulate is enough to obtain, free of charge, the parameters for activation of the ConsentD mobile application, enabling access to all eGovernment services.
Diplomatic missions and consulates will start issuing parameters for electronic identification on 1 February 2023.
Citizens who wish to use eGovernment services may become eCitizens by activating the Consent ID application and creating an account. This allows them to use their mobile telephone or tablet, at any time, to conduct over 500 procedures relating to the most important life events, obtain a cloud signature and sign documents online by just a few clicks on the eID portal, settle their property taxes, submit an application for an issuance of a birth certificate, or obtain an electronic version of one, etc.
