Starović: The USA has mechanisms to put pressure on Pristina
Speaking on the Radio-Television of Serbia, Starović assessed that the United States have mechanisms to put pressure on the PISG in Pristina, and reminded of the role of Richard Grenell and the application of retaliatory measures when the government of Ramush Haradinaj introduced uncivilized taxes and blocked dialogue with Belgrade.
Commenting on the just concluded Western Balkans Summit in Tirana, at which Albin Kurti presented unconstructive views on the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Starović stated that Kurti remained a slave to his extreme ideological views, which are a combination of revolutionary Marxism and Hoxhaism with extreme Albanian nationalism.
As he pointed out, Belgrade should not fall for provocations before the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Referring to the recent session of the UN Security Council on the work of the Residual Mechanism in The Hague and the reactions of the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to the court's attitude towards the Serbian people and Serbian victims, Starović stressed that President Vučić enabled all Serbian citizens to walk with their heads held high.
Regarding the upcoming talks between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President in Geneva, Starović assessed that this could be a positive step in the direction of conducting a constructive dialogue, compared to the current heightened rhetoric.
According to him, this is also important for Serbia, which pursues a policy of peaceful cooperation and sovereign equality, because in times of heightened rhetoric, pressures on states like ours are growing among the great powers.
