Statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selaković

Member of the European Parliament, Viola von Cramon, revealed in her most recent attack on Serbia the senselessness of the policy of pressure and punishment of our country, which could become, according to the MEP’s words collateral damage due to its neutrality.

Neutrality can only bother extremists, while the term “collateral”, the word with which the political fathers of Mrs. von Cramon called the killed Serbian civilians during the NATO air campaign against our country, have reared their heads in the European political vocabulary again.

May I remind you that even in WW 2 the neutrality of states was respected and that no pressure and sanctions were exerted on the countries that chose not to be involved in the conflicts of the big ones.

Thus, for example, the state from which Viola von Cramon MEP comes respected the neutrality of Sweden, Spain and Switzerland.

With some exceptions of course, because the military of the country Von Cramon comes from bombed Belgrade after its residents dared express their freedom-loving and anti-fascist views.

The citizens of Serbia are still libertarian and anti-fascist oriented and if this is the reason why they have to be punished, then Mrs. von Cramon and the like-minded may be at least that honest and say that this is the reason why the energy products for the Serbian citizens will be more expensive than for other Europeans.

Serbia is neutral and freedom-loving and is proud of it, but Viola von Cramon is not neutral when she lobbies for Albanian separatists in Kosovo and Metohija or when she deliberately uses cynical and provocative language to insult the citizens of this country and advocate sanctions on Serbia.
