Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili delivers online lecture to participants of the “Pedro Gual” Institute for Advanced Diplomatic Studies
Ambassador Rastovac Siamashvili presented the foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Serbia and provided an overview of Serbia’s cooperation with key international partners. A particular focus of the lecture was placed on the exceptionally close and friendly relations between Serbia and Venezuela, both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks.
She also informed the participants about the difficult situation facing the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija and expressed deep gratitude to Venezuela for its steadfast support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia, including its support in international organizations.
The lecture was attended by the Director General of the Pedro Gual Institute and Assistant Minister Pedro Sassone, Assistant Minister for Europe and North America Andrea Corao, as well as staff from the Europe Department of the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Alongside representatives of the Venezuelan MFA, the lecture was also attended by Serbia’s Ambassador to Venezuela, Katarina Andrić, Head of the Diplomatic Academy Ambassador Marina Jovićević, and Head of the Department for North and South America Bojan Cvetković.
Today's lecture marks the first activity in the area of diplomatic education between the two countries, based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, signed at the ministerial level on 7 July 2010.
