Developing bilateral cooperation with Yemen

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Yemen, Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak.

Selaković said that it was very important that Yemen, one of the founding states of the Non-Aligned Movement, participate in the commemorative gathering in Belgrade, which marks the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the non-aligned.

On this occasion, Minister Selaković conveyed Serbia's readiness to improve political dialogue and economic cooperation with Yemen.

Selaković stated that the potentials for the development of bilateral relations exist, and that they have been untapped due to several factors, however, there is an evident mutual willingness and interest to work on that.

The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed hope for the stabilization of the situation in Yemen as soon as possible and the achievement of a long-term sustainable peace.
