Đurić Confers with Malta’s Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Chris Fearne

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić met in New York, on the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, with Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Malta Chris Fearne. On this occasion, the two Ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations.
Đurić expressed his pleasure at meeting Minister Fearne, who assumed office several months ago, and reaffirmed Serbia’s commitment to further strengthening and advancing its good relations with Malta. The Serbian Foreign Minister also extended an invitation to his Maltese counterpart to visit Serbia.
Đurić also noted that a significant number of Serbian citizens live in Malta, providing additional impetus to closer ties and cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted the considerable potential for further cooperation, particularly in the fields of the economy, agriculture and tourism.
