Đurić: Signed Memorandum with Ghana marks a significant step in strengthening cultural ties

As part of his official visit to Ghana, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met in Accra with the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie. On this occasion, the two ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation.

Minister Đurić stated that the signing of this document opens a new chapter in Serbia-Ghana relations in the field of culture, with the aim of intensifying cooperation and bringing the peoples and cultures of the two countries closer together.

The Serbian Foreign Minister expressed particular satisfaction with Ghana’s confirmed participation in the International Specialized Exhibition Expo 2027, to be held in Belgrade. He emphasized that this decision reflects the overall advancement of bilateral relations and provides a platform to showcase Ghana’s rich cultural and creative potential at one of Serbia’s most prominent international events.

Minister Đurić also underlined the significant potential for deepening cooperation in other areas, notably in tourism as a vital sector of the economy. He extended an invitation to Ghana to take part in the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, which would offer an excellent opportunity to present Ghana’s tourism potential and establish new partnerships in this field.
