Gratitude to Equatorial Guinea for supporting Serbia's views on Kosovo and Metohija
Congratulating Minister Angue on the national holiday of Equatorial Guinea's Independence Day, Minister Selaković expressed his gratitude for the fact that this country was present at a high-level commemorative gathering in Belgrade, especially having in mind that today is their national holiday.
Selaković pointed out that Serbia is determined to strengthen the political dialogue and contacts at the high and highest levels with this country, and on this occasion he invited his colleague Angue to pay an official visit to Belgrade and expressed hope that he would soon have the opportunity to visit Equatorial Guinea.
The Minister thanked for the principled position regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, and for the continuous support of our positions during the voting for the admission of the so-called Kosovo into international organizations.
The Minister assessed that economic cooperation with Equatorial Guinea is the most developed part of our bilateral cooperation, considering that several of our construction companies are active in that country, but that additional efforts should certainly be made in order to intensify relations in other areas, primarily agriculture and defence.
He said that cooperation in the field of education is an important segment in the relations between the two countries, expressing satisfaction with the continuous interest of students from Equatorial Guinea to study in Serbia. He added that our country will provide four to five times more scholarships starting next year.
