Minister Dacic confers with the Foreign Minister of Slovakia

On the fringes of the ministerial meeting on the Western Balkans in Rome, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár.

In a cordial conversation, both parties agreed that the close and friendly relations between the two countries had a long historical tradition, while highlighting the necessity of their deepening and further strengthening in all areas of common interest.

They expressed satisfaction with the intensive and continuous political dialogue maintained by the two countries at all levels, and willingness for the same to continue in the future.

Minister Dacic expressed his gratitude for the continuous support lent by the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Serbia on issues of its vital national interest, such as territorial integrity and sovereignty, but also European integration.

The officials commended the successful multilateral cooperation between the two countries, pointing out that further joint activities in terms of mutual exchange of support to candidacies in international organizations and institutions should be particularly encouraged.  

In the talks, it was noted that there were numerous opportunities for the further strengthening of all mutually relevant forms of cooperation, especially in the economic field.
