17. Jan 2024.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic had talks today with Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe Patrice Trovoada.
Minister Dacic emphasized that the relations between Serbia and São Tomé and Príncipe were traditionally very good and rooted in the period dating back to the struggle for the decolonization of that country, which was strongly supported by Yugoslavia at the time.
Prime Minister Trovoada expressed his gratitude for Serbia’s continued assistance to his country, pointing out that they particularly appreciated the donation in the form of 20 tons of seed maize, which was delivered to his country last month.
The interlocutors agreed to continue the regular political dialogue and exchange of visits, and to use the trust existing between the two countries as a basis for the strengthening of cooperation in all areas of common interest.
